Congratulations to Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering professor and IMR member Joseph Heremans on his recent MURI award from the Department of Defense.
Dr. Heremans is the lead researcher of the awarded project Cryogenic Peltier Cooling, recently announced by the Department of Defense Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative (MURI) program, which provides support for basic research of national defense interest performed in academic institutions. This MURI project will be a collaboration between OSU and Princeton, MIT, Michigan State, Boston College, and Cal Tech, along with 4 international universities.
In addition, an OSU team led by Electrical and Computer Engineering professor and IMR director Steve Ringel is part of a MURI award to University of California, Santa Barbara in Dielectric Enhancements for Innovative Electronics, a collaboration of 7 universities.
