The Chemistry department’s 2011 Meek Lecture will be presented by Dr. John W. Kozarich, chairman and president of ActivX Biosciences, Inc.
About the Meek Lectures – Each year, faculty of the Chemistry Department choose a distinguished industrial researcher, who gives two lectures, one typically on a scientific topic of current social relevance. Also, as part of the Meek Lecture, undergraduate researchers in the Chemistry Department present their research to the faculty, staff, students and invited guests.

Dr. Kozarich will present the following lectures

Thursday, May 5th, 2011

5:00-6:00 pm: Lecture, “Chemical, Biological, and Clinical Properties of a 2nd Generation DPP IV Inhibitor for Type 2 Diabetes”
Location: 1008 Evans Laboratory
 
Immediately followed by a Reception and Undergraduate Poster Session:

5:00-6:00 pm: Lecture, “Toward a Functional, Chemical Interrogation of Kinome and Nucleotide Binding Space”
