Caroline Whitacre, PhD, vice president for research at The Ohio State University, will deliver her inaugural state of research address to university leadership, academic leaders,
faculty researchers, industry partners, community leaders, and other invited guests.
At the conclusion of this address, Dr. Whitacre will announce the “2010 Innovator of the Year.” This new award, bestowed by the Office of Research, will recognize outstanding accomplishment in promoting commercialization of university intellectual property andstimulating economic development in the state, region, and nation. A reception will immediately follow the announcement.
The State of Research address kicks off a month-long Celebration of Research at the university.
