Scott Gold, University of Dayton Ohio Research Scholar in Multiscale Composites Processing

The University of Dayton School of Engineering recently announced the hiring of Dr. Scott Gold as an Ohio Research Scholar in Multiscale Composites Processing. This Ohio Research Scholar position is funded by the Technology-Enabling and Emergent Materials award from the Ohio Department of Development through the Ohio Third Frontier Program.  This award created five new Ohio Research Scholars – three at The Ohio State Unviersity, and one each at University of Dayton and University of Akron – with the goal to pioneer revolutionary approaches to accelerate the development of materials for technological impact, by evaluating emergent materials at an early stage through the application of advanced characterization and predictive modeling.

Dr. Gold comes to Dayton from the Institute for Micromanufacturing at Louisiana Tech University.  His research interests include surface chemistry and the development of novel nanostructured materials, with a focus on energy related applications.
