Eligibility Requirements:

BATTERI is targeting student interns in STEM focused early Bachelor of Science and Associate degree programs. Students must be currently enrolled in one of our partner institutions to apply: The Ohio State University (Columbus or regional campus), Columbus State Community College, or Wilberforce University.

  • Participants must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or permanent residents of the United States.
  • Participants must be currently enrolled students at The Ohio State University (Columbus or regional campus), Columbus State Community College, or Wilberforce University.

Application Timeline:

  • Application Window: Monday, December 1, 2025 – Friday, January 23, 2026
  • Interview Window: Monday, February 9, 2026 – Friday, February 20, 2026
  • Offer Letters Sent to Students: Monday, March 2, 2026
  • Student Acceptance Deadline: Monday, March 9, 2026
  • 10-week Internship Experience: Tuesday, May 26, 2026 – Friday, July 31, 2026

Accommodations:

This is an in-person opportunity in Columbus, Ohio, USA. Students will have the option of living on-campus for the 10-week duration, or commuting locally:

  • Total Compensation for the 10-week program: $7,000 stipend ($700/week).
  • The Ohio State University Columbus campus housing/parking provided:
    • Worthington Hall, located at 203 West 10th Avenue in Columbus, Ohio, is a five-story residence hall. Offering apartment-style accommodations with kitchens, Worthington Hall spans floors one through five, providing study and lounge spaces and on-site laundry facilities. Interns will be placed in double rooms with a shared kitchen.
  • Interns commuting locally (who do not opt-in to provided housing) can qualify for travel reimbursement:
    • Mileage reimbursement up to $500 over the 10-week program.
