Application Criteria:

  • BATTERI is targeting students in STEM focused Associate degree programs and early Bachelor of Science programs. Students currently enrolled at The Ohio State University (Columbus and regional campuses), Columbus State Community College and Wilberforce University are eligible to apply.
  • Participants need to be: U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or permanent residents of the United States.

Application Timeline:

  • Application Window: Monday, January 13, 2025 – Friday, February 21, 2025
  • Offer Letters Sent to Students: Monday, March 17, 2025
  • Student Acceptance Decision Due: Friday, March 28, 2025
  • 10-week Internship Experience: Tuesday, May 27, 2025 – Friday, August 1, 2025

  • The BATTERI Summer Internships – 2025 application window has closed.

Accommodations:

  • Total Compensation for the 10-week program: $7,000 stipend (to be paid in two monthly installments).
  • Ohio State Columbus campus housing options are available.
    • Worthington Hall, located at 203 West 10th Avenue in Columbus, Ohio, is a five-story residence hall. Offering apartment-style accommodations with kitchens, Worthington Hall spans floors one through five, providing study and lounge spaces and on-site laundry facilities. Interns will be placed in double rooms with a shared kitchen.
  • Interns commuting locally (who do not opt in to provided housing) can qualify for travel reimbursement.
    • Mileage reimbursement up to $500 over the 10-week program.
