A total of 12 projects were awarded this semester through IMR’s Kickstart Facility Grant Program. Funding helps offset costs of user fees, access fees, and other charges associated with research facilities at Ohio State.

National partnership to improve diversity in science and engineering
Ohio State and the U.S. Air Force are creating a national consortium to increase opportunities in the Air Force for minority STEM students and graduates. Ohio State will co-lead the new effort with Wright State University, North Carolina A&T State University, and AFRL.

$1.5M NSF award to advance next-gen nanotechnology at Ohio State
The National Science Foundation approved a $1.5 million Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) toward the purchase and installation of an electron-beam lithography system at Nanotech West Laboratory, operated by IMR.
