IMR Sponsoring 40 OSU Students at the 2007 Ohio Nanotechnology Summit

ORISadmin Events

The OSU Institute for Materials Research (IMR) will provide support for up to 40 OSU students to attend and present their posters at this year’s Ohio Nanotechnology Summit.

This annual event is the premier nanotechnology event in Ohio, drawing both national and local leaders in nanotechnology. Attendance at this conference offers students the opportunity to network with potential employers and learn the latest in nano research from national leaders.

The 2007 Ohio Nanotechnology Summit will be held April 24 and 25, 2007 in Akron at the John S. Knight Convention Center. The IMR and the Office of Research will be major sponsors of this year’s event, jointly serving as a Summit Benefactor as part of our ongoing effort to support materials-related research in the OSU community.

The first 40 students to submit a request for IMR sponsorship will have their registration fees and one night hotel paid by IMR. All OSU students are eligible; sponsored students must participate in the poster display sessions.

For more information about participation in this opportunity, please contact Layla Manganaro, IMR Program Manager, at manganaro.4@osu.edu or 247-4685.
