Have a great research idea but can’t get it started?
Want to try something new and exciting in the lab but don’t have the seed funding to pay for the expenses?
The OSU Institute for Materials Research has issued this year’s Request for Proposals for the IMR Facility Grant program. Each Facility Grant provides $2,000 to offset the cost of user access fees and related minor charges such as materials and supplies.
The purpose of IMR Facility Grants is to make shared campus research facilities more accessible to researchers wishing to demonstrate materials-related research results with the goal of strengthening near-term research proposals for external support.
Deadlines:
- Monday, November 26, 2012 at 5:00 PM for awards with an anticipated project start date of January 1, 2013; and
- Monday, May 13, 2013 at 5:00 PM for Facility Grants with an anticipated project start date of July 1, 2013.
Please note that the awarding of IMR Facility Grant is quite competitive, and therefore we encourage applicants to closely follow the instructions detailed in the RFP to strengthen their proposals.
