Scholars Program Graduate Student Information Session 2022

The IIT Bombay-Ohio State Frontier Center is offering an information session at The Ohio State University about its 2022 round of Frontier Scholar Grants. These grants support collaborative research between principal investigators and doctoral students (or Frontier Center Scholars) from Ohio State and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.

Each Frontier Center Scholar from Ohio State is co-supervised by their graduate advisor and a “host PI” at IIT Bombay. Scholars will complete at least one semester of research at IIT Bombay in Mumbai, India. This initial collaboration will act as a catalyst for a sustained, extramurally funded, collaboration between Ohio State and IIT Bombay.

Research focus areas include Renewable Energy, Advanced Manufacturing, Electronics, Photonics, Emergent Materials, Quantum Information and Technology.

Purpose of event: This event will offer doctoral students a chance to hear from other graduate students who are currently Frontier Center Scholars and have done work at both Ohio State and IIT Bombay. Additionally, Frontier Center leaders will expound the opportunities afforded through the center, as well as answer questions from interested students.

When: April 14, 2022 at 5 p.m.

Where: Dreese Lab, Room 260

Extras: Pizza & beverages provided
