IMR Materials Week: Call for Posters
All OSU students and postdoctoral researchers are welcome to contribute posters to the IMR Materials Week Student Poster Presentation sessions.
At the 2009 Materials Week event, we are hosting two different poster sessions. Please read the details below to determine which session is most appropriate for your poster.
GENERAL MATERIALS RESEARCH POSTER SESSION
Posters in this session should relate to research conducted in any topic relevant to materials research. These general materials research posters will be displayed on Monday, August 31, 2009 as part of the IMR Materials Week Poster Session and Reception from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at The Blackwell Inn and Conference Center. CEM specific posters should be included in the poster session below.
CEM POSTER SESSION
If you are a CEM (Center for Emergent Materials) fellow/affiliate, your posters will be displayed on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 as part of the CEM Poster Session and Reception from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the Physics Research Building Atrium.
All students must be present at the Student Poster Presentation to discuss their research. Awards will be given to the top posters.
Poster Submissions
Poster information should be submitted during the online registration process. Please note: you must include your poster title and a brief (200 word) poster abstract at the time of your registration online.
Poster Guidelines
Posters should be:
- brief and clearly organized;
- simple, with an obvious theme; and
- easy to read from 4 to 6 feet away.
Poster Dimensions
- All posters must fit into a 36″ x 48″ space.
- Posters must be in landscape (horizontal) orientation.
- Posters should not be mounted on foam core
- T-pins will be provided to display your poster.
Poster Set up and Removal
- Set up for the IMR Poster Session is on Monday, August 31st between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. at The Blackwell Inn and Conference Center.
- Set up for the CEM Poster Session is on Tuesday, September 1st between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. in the Physics Research Building Atrium.
- All students must be present at their Student Poster Presentation to discuss their research.
- Posters must be removed immediately after the poster session
